On this note of acclaim kicked off YESpay's 2nd Partner Event, with the core theme being 'Leap of Innovation'. The event was held in conjunction with ACT Canada on June 18, 2012 at Marriott Gateway on the Falls.

Cross-border, Multi-channel, EMV Chip & PIN and Mobile Payment services were the highlights of the event. To add to the excitement, we also had an interactive panel discussion with the leading industry specialists. The forum touched on new developments in the areas of Cross-border and Value Added Solutions (VAS) and left no questions unanswered. A retail case study brought limelight onto outsourced payment services from the point-of-view of high-street retailers. Various retailers and YESpay partners on the panel including Global Payments, First Data, French Connection, House of Knives, John Fluevog and Cardwatch, aquainted the audience with the latest trends in the payments industry. Some of the best presentations have been put together for an insight into the event.

As the need for speed and simplicity takes over the payments industry, Contactless Payments come across as quite an innovation! Customers can pay for everyday items, such as coffee or newspapers, simply by swiping their credit or debit card across a reader. Contactless Payments are expected to revolutionise the way low-value purchases are made.

This technology allows customers to pay for items worth £20 and under for UK and under $50 for Canada. With no need to fumble for coins or enter a PIN, Contactless Payments let customers enjoy the shorter queues and simple payment processes. Apart from the ease of making payments, the data security is what makes Contactless Payments a star with customers.

YESpay announces EMV Chip & PIN
accreditation with Moneris, Canada
 
 
Moneris Solutions, one of North America’s leading payment processors is a joint investment between RBC Royal Bank and BMO Bank of Montreal (including Harris Bank). The company has accredited YESpay International's EMBOSS hosted payment service to manage the EMV migration of its merchants using integrated EPOS systems across Canada. The formal certification included end-to-end EMV Chip & PIN testing with Interac, MasterCard and Visa using the Verifone Vx810 PIN pad.

Both the companies are excited to offer a fully integrated EPOS Chip & PIN payment solution. It acts as a one-stop EMV accredited & PCI-DSS certified payment processing service to the merchants for face-to-face credit and Interac debit transactions.

Rohit Patni, EVP - Sales & Marketing, YESpay explains "By using EMBOSS, merchants of all sizes will be able to maintain their integrated payment services that now need to support EMV Chip & PIN transactions. There is no need for merchants to go through long winded and costly accreditation of their retail systems with Moneris and they can also significantly reduce the burden of PCI DSS compliance – YESpay has taken care of both demanding issues!"

  Innovating and Leaping Ahead
 
After a host of successful implementations of its innovative payment solutions among prominent retailers across the UK and North America, it’s time for some acknowledgement! Here are a few partners sharing their experiences with us from selection through completion.

NISA, one of the UK’s largest convenience stores, opts for YESpay’s EasyV-Retail as its new payment service for enhanced efficiency and ease of usage. NISA has grown to over 800 terminals serving over 340 retailers. With the emerging PCI standards, NISA needed a payment solution that could descope PCI for them.

"Our previous solution required a specific integration into the PED itself, restricting us both on technology and choice. In the true spirit of NISA, it was difficult to stay ahead of the game as older devices became dated and newer options entered the market. We faced the real scenario of having to re-accredit our payment service and go through costly PCI-DSS compliance, something NISA was not prepared to do", says Peter Walker, Head - EPOS, NISA-Today’s (Holdings) Ltd.

It was a matter of only 8 weeks for YESpay to initiate a huge rollout of over 800 lines! Peter further adds, "We were able to upgrade Epositive in a quick and simple manner and start our store deployments within weeks while still using our existing PIN Pads. Importantly as well, we overcame the issues of PCI-DSS. YESpay's own certification helped us mitigate this with our upgraded estate."

A financial services organization, Fintrax Group has also recently partnered with YESpay to offer a truly integrated DCC (Dynamic Currency Conversion) and Tax Free Shopping service to high-street merchants. Fintrax specialises in Multicurrency Payments, VAT Refunds and Credit Card Processing. Duncan Bews, Sales Director, Fintrax comments, "We are excited to announce YESpay’s integration within our DCC and Tax Free functionality offering customers a low cost PCI-DSS compliant solution with the added benefits of value added services as part of the payment process. With the international visitor market now worth over £19 Billion in the UK alone and the Olympics on the near horizon, merchants that strengthen their ‘tourist offer’ are best placed to benefit from this highly lucrative market over the next few years."

Rajal Patni, Interim CFO
Jubilant. Likeable. Open to change. Rajal Patni likes to taste all flavours of life. Her interest for travel helps her explore new cultures and people. She can also be spotted at the golf course off and on!

A Finance Director, with over 15 years of working experience leading finance operations teams across multiple size companies in various geographic markets, within different sectors; Managed Services, IT and Construction, has brought Rajal to the pinnacle of her career. Key focus areas being formulating financial strategies, maximising financial performance, securing working capital funding and restructures/turnarounds, she still looks forward to newer challenges.

This June, YESpay’s senior management team welcomed Rajal Patni as the interim CFO.

Richard Renwick-Forster, National Sales Manager
A fresh addition to the YESpay sales team, Richard Renwick-Forster is well-versed with the card payment sector. Over 9 years of working in the industry has given him a hands-on experience in technical installation, integration, account management and direct sales.

"I'm extremely pleased to join YESpay, they are a growing company with exceptional products and services. I'm particularly impressed with YESpay's dedication to new ways of processing card payments including contactless and mobile payments and the ease with which customers can access their transaction history", says Richard.

He is an avid football fan and a premiership season ticket holder too! More often than not, he’d be found kicking his weekend off on a football field with a group of friends. He enjoys playing squash as well and has recently taken up golf too. Although most golfers he knows have advised against this form of torture!


Raj Sharma, Head of Operations and Support
"The journey is more beautiful than the destination", believes Raj Sharma, an Engineering graduate from Mumbai University, India. He derives pleasure out of learning everyday and moving step-by-step towards his goals.

Raj has spent around 7 fruitful years with 360 Commerce (later acquired by Oracle Corp.), working out of USA as well as India to support clients like Apple BroadVision, FedEx and Limited Brands. During the tenure, he gathered experience in 360Commerce Retail Technology including POS, Back Office, Central Office and Inventory Management. Further, he worked as Operation and Support Manager with Infogain India Limited. Recently, Raj joined YESpay International as Head of Operations and Support and is very excited to give his best to grow with the company.


Mayur Inamdar, Incident and Support Manager
A happy-go-lucky globetrotter, who is excited to learn about new cultures, enjoys sports, movies, reading and dining out. This is Mayur Inamdar for you who has graduated as an Engineer from Pune University, India and later received an ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) certification. His ambition to excel at work won him 12 years of exhaustive experience in the area of support and service desk functions. He has gathered 7+ years of experience working for top financial clients like Deutshe Bank and Reuters in Tokyo.

Putting together his expertise and learning through new challenges is what Mayur looks forward to at YESpay. The company welcomes him on board with enthusiasm and hopes for a long-term and fruitful journey for both!
